Fenwick Tracy B., Banfield Andrew C. (eds.). Beyond Autonomy: Practical and Theoretical Challenges to 21st Century Federalism. Brill | Nijhoff,2021. — 265 p.. 2021

This collection of essays started at the 2018 International Association of Federal Centres Annual Conference hosted by the Australian Centre for Federalism at the anu in Canberra Australia. We were fortunate to have Elisabeth Alber and Arthur Benz as visiting fellows at the federalism centre to offer us sage advice on the thematic development of the “beyond autonomy” idea. There was enthusiastic agreement that a book should be produced to capture the spirit of that conference. We want to thank all of the contributors for their thoughtful comments and helpful suggestions in the production of this book.
