6: Take Ownership Without Request
People are quick to give up responsibility, so a junior lawyer that willingly accepts it (or just takes it) is appreciated. Just because you are the low person on the project doesn't mean it isn't your project or client. Treat everything as if you are the ultimate owner of it. Especially at law firms, partners love seeing junior lawyers own things because it shows them they can get leverage off of you. And in the best of cases, maybe they'll see you as a future partner.
