CHAPTER 11 You Got the Job—There Is No Time for Rest

Hopefully you've been taking good care of your mental and physical self, because the good news is that you got the job you wanted. You also passed the bar exam. The bad news is that the hard work has just begun.

One thing to keep in mind is that you ideally want to start your first job in the best shape of your life. Whatever you choose to do will be challenging and you'll need the best version of yourself going into the job.

In the next four chapters we will go deep into strategies that we think you should consider, actions that will likely damage your prospects at your employer, a section about dealing with different types of personalities, and, finally, some advice about technology proficiency for lawyers.

Whereas most of the early parts of this books talked about concepts, this next part of the book will focus on tangible things you can do (or not) that will greatly impact your job and career.
