The Main Characteristics of Urban Law
The three systems of secular law that were considered earlier -- feudal, manorial, and mercantile law -Âwere analyzed under the headings of objectivity, universality, reciprocity, participatory adjudication, integration, and growth. In considering urban law, it seems preferable to use a slightly different classification. This system of law will be analyzed in terms of its communitarian character, its secular character, its constitutional character, its capacity for growth, and its integrity as a system.
